Glendale is easily accessible by road via Interstate 17 and 10, and from Loops 303 and 101. The city is served by the Glendale Municipal Airport.  Helicopters and private planes can fly directly to the Municipal Airport. The nearest commercial airport is the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Getting around the city is also easy. Glendale Municipal Airport serves Glendale. It is approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Phoenix (northwest). It has both private and corporate planes. 

The area’s major airport is the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It offers nonstop service to more than 100 cities in the United States and around the world. It is served by 17 airlines. 


Getting to Glendale by Road

The City of Glendale can be accessed from I-10, I-17, Loop 303 and Loop 101.
  • The southern part of the city can be reached by I-10, exiting between Loop 101 and 43rd Avenue, and getting north on the arterial streets.
  • The eastern part of the city can be accessed from I-17, exiting between the Loop 101 and the Camelback Road.
  • The northern part of the city can be accessed from the Loop 101
  • The western part of Glendale can be accessed by exiting Loop 101 between the Camelback Road and the Northern Avenue.

Getting Around Glendale by Valley Metro Bus Network

The Valley Metro of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area offers bus service in Glendale. The bus route 70 serves the Westgate City Center, Glendale. The bus route 70 services the Sports and Entertainment District between the 91st Ave and 95th Ave, and it stops at the crossroads of Glendale Ave with 93th Avenue and 95th Avenue, which are situated near the northern area of the Westgate City Center.

Glendale Dial-A-Ride Bus: Glendale Dial-A-Ride is a low-cost transit service available for locals as well as visitors. 

Operating hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am-6:00pm
Weekend & Holidays: 7:00am-5:00pm

To schedule a ride, dial (623) 930-3500. 

Fares: The one way ride costs $2 for rides in the age group 14-64, and for senior citizens, people with disabilities and children from 6-13, the fare is $1.

Glendale Express Shuttle service is available between the Glendale entertainment and sports district and historic Downtown Glendale. It stops at the following locations:
